Enron; The Smartest guys in the Room

 

This paper was written in the spring of my sophomore year, 2013. It was written for a leadership course I was taking. During the class we watched a documentary about the unethical nature of Enron, and the collapse of the accounting firm Arther Anderson because of it.

In this paper:

  1. I analyze the different events leading to the demise of the corporation

  2. The ethical component involved in decision making from both the accountng as well as corporate side

  3. The corporate structure which led to the eventual fall

  4. The economic implications of the fall of Enron. 

The Effects of Social Dumping
 

This essay was written in the spring of my junior year, 2014. It was written in an International Business class I was taking. In the class we discussed the globalization of resources and the adverse effect of social dumping. 

In this paper:

  1. I discuss the trend of globalization, specifically in India, China, and Brazil.

  2. The effects of social dumping on the global economy.

  3. Whether social dumping is a natural phenomenon or one caused by deregulation.

  4. Why this matters to american business students. 

Woman Paradoxes in the 21st century

 

This paper was written spring of my sophomore year, 2013. It was written for a leadership course that covered women leadership. During the course we discussed the transition that has taken place due to women entering the workforce.

In this paper:

  1. I advocate for women equality in the workplace, specifically in America.

  2. I discuss the history of women rights globally, as well as in America.

  3. The transition in the twenty first century, and the response of business to this phenomenon.

  4. Projections of the future workplace, and how that effects us as students.
